Avian Influenza (Flu) – What to do to prevent the spread

  • by

With a new fishing season on the River Spey fast approaching, many of you will soon be returning to the riverbanks.

Bird flu cases have been recorded in the North East of Scotland, we would therefore like to share the government’s avian influenza (bird flu) guidelines, which outline simple steps we can all take to reduce the chances of coming into contact with bird flu and to reduce the spread of the disease.

This poster can be downloaded as a pdf here and was designed for land managers and local authorities to warn the public that either bird flu has been detected in the area or to not risk spreading the virus.

For more information, including a list of cases and disease control areas, please visit the government’s avian influenza outbreaks page.
