Documentary launch: Moray Firth Tracking Project

For the last three years, the Spey Fishery Board has been working closely with the Atlantic Salmon Trust as part of the Moray Firth Tracking Project. Kindly hosted by Ballindalloch Castle, we have been trapping and tagging salmon smolts to monitor their migration down the River Spey and out into the Moray Firth to establish where, and subsequently why, our salmon smolts are going missing.

The following video explains more about this important project and the vital evidence it seeks to obtain in order to improve the survival of this iconic species, which is now considered by many to be in crisis.
